"To be Po'Tun is to rule. It is why we were created. Our words are laced with power! Those who do not bend to our will must be broken by our strength. There is no strength without unity. There is no unity without obedience. To obey your Emperor, and demand obedience of your subjects, is the natural order. When you fight amongst yourselves you fight against your very nature. There is an order to this world, a strength that flows from your emperor down to the very stones of the earth. Do not forget this. Together our voices shall echo across the land like the clap of a thunder before a storm. You are that storm! Rise Po'Tun! And reclaim your birthright as rightful rulers of this land!" - Emperor Cai Xiun
The Po'Tun of the Tiger-Dragon Empire has, for ages, considered themselves a powerful gods-forged race who live at the pinnacle of all life in Akavir. Proud, hateful, and powerful both physically and magically, the Po'Tun are the foremost enemies of the Jinsim who they deem to be the rightful servants of their Empire. They have fought over the future of Akavir, over a notion of unity between master and servant to combat the Tsaesci, for time immemorial. While many may disagree with the quality of their personalities, Po'Tun begin with a +2 CHA.
The political higher-ups were generally magically gifted. The "Thunderlords" were capable of many things, not just the use of their physical and metaphysical voices. Those born into the ranks of Thunderlords, or trained in their arts, would put their might on display, letting all see the (+1) Wisdom they held.
Below the Thunderlords, but still high above the rest of the Po'Tun power structure, were the Weaponmasters. While they possessed magical skill just like the Thunderlords, they were more well renowned for their skill in crafting, designing, and wielding weapons of war. The storm may have been a symbol of the Po'Tun's power, the Weaponmasters gained endurance from the Storm and the fires of their forges. Weaponmasters gain +1 CON.
