Dealing with Vile is more dangerous than most Daedra, as one must be wary of just what they ask for, for Vile will often give you what you ask for and only what you ask for, not looking to the unspoken parts of the request. Attunement is required and attuning to the weapon imparts the wielder with the sense that there is more to come.

Bonus cold damage on hit increases from 1d6 to 2d6.
Targets affected by some form of Lycanthropy that take damage from this weapon must now, also, make a DC 16 Wisdom Saving Throw. On a failure, targets are frightened of the wielder.*
