Founded by the Tsaesci in ages past, the Rupee was the main form of currency in much of Akavir due to the Tsaesci's control of the continent. In the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Eras, the Rupee lost value due to the decline of the Tsaesci Empire and their supposed disappearance. In modern times, it is believed that the value of a Gold Rupee is 1% of the value of a Gold Septim.
