The continent of Akavir is far to the east of Tamriel. In the mid 3rd Era, Uriel V Septim set off on an expedition to the continent as a response to the prior invasions of Tamriel from Akaviri peoples. He attempted to set up a settlement upon the territories of Akavir, to form an Imperial presence, and pay back the Kamal and Tsaesci peoples that caused harm in Tamriel in the past.
