Long ago, in the Dawn Era, Hircine was not always the Daedric Lord of the Hunt. Before Hircine, was his father, Arawn. Arawn was focused on the hunt, while Hircine was focused on the bestial, the creatures that hunt. The two argued over which should be the primary focus. Legend and history has forgotten why, but the argument between the two became so hostile that the Wild Hunt had been called in on itself as the Daedric followers of both warred against each other. The curse of Lycanthropy, however, was one of these contested issues and at the creation of it is the last time in history that the name Arawn was ever spoken.
