Wondrous Item, Artifact, Shield, Requires Attunement
Dwemer Shields are made of a unique alloy simply known as Dwemer Metal. Dwemer Metal is resistant to rust or acid corrosion. (This resistance does not extend to the wearer but simply reduces the damage the armor would take from such effects.
Shield Smash. As an action, you can choose to try and smash your shield into an enemy. The target must make a Dexterity Saving Throw (DC calculated as 8 + your proficiency bonus + your STR or DEX modifier, your choice). On a failure, the target takes 1d10 bludgeoning damage. Additionally, targets struck by this shield become Ethereal (as in the spell Etherealness) until the end of their next turn, making them unable to attack or be attacked. On a success, half as much damage, and the target does not become Ethereal. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus. Once you have expended all uses of the feature, you must complete a long rest before using it again.
