Mox's Bloodlust Feature

"So long as you serve me, little goblin, your thirst for blood will never be quenched. You shall never know peace. You shall never know rest. This is the path you have chosen, and it is the one you shall walk so long as your warrior's spirit remains resolute in the name of crushing any who oppose you, bathing in their blood until whatever glorious, hard-fought end awaits you."

Bloodlust functions alike a Battle Master Fighter's Manuevers. Instead of having a set number of die to use, however, Bloodlust availability will rise and lower amidst combat. Whenever a creature you have damaged on your turn dies, or you personally reduce an enemy to 0 HP, if you are within 5 feet of them, you can use a Reaction to bathe in their blood, and gain a point of Bloodlust. Additionally, whenever you take at least 15 points of damage from a single attack, you gain another point of Bloodlust. (If you take more than 15, and the damage is divisible by 15, you gain additional points. i.e. 15 = 1 point, 30 = 2, 45 = 3, etc). If you have no Bloodlust when initiative is rolled, you start combat with 1 point.

You may hold a maximum number of Bloodlust points equal to your proficiency modifier. Bloodlust points can be used to add extra features to your attacks, or give extra possible actions on your turn. Any Bloodlust feature that calls for a saving throw, the DC to succeed on the save follows this calculation:

8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice)

Bloodlust feature options are as follows:

  • Bleed for Me (costs 1 Point): When you deal weapon damage a creature with an attack, you may spend 1 Bloodlust point to deal 1 additional die of weapon damage.

In addition, the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for 1 minute. They may repeat the save at the end of each turn, ending the effect on a success.
  • RAAAGGGHHH!!! (costs 2 Points): After you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you may let our a bestial roar, a cheer of victory, or some other expression of your success, at the expense of 2 bloodlust points, as a free action. You may then move up to your movement speed towards a new hostile creature and make one additional attack against that creature, if you end this movement within range to do so. Moving in this way does not expend any of your movement speed. Any Opportunity attacks made as a result of this movement are made at disadvantage.
  • Unbreakable (costs 2 Points): When an attack reduces you to 0 hit points, you may spend 2 bloodlust points to, instead, be left with 1 hit point, even if you would be killed outright by damage taken by this attack.
  • Viciousness (costs 2 Points): Whenever you land a critical hit on a weapon attack, you may spend 2 Bloodlust points to try and cleave a limb from their body. The target must make a Constitution saving throw or lose a limb of your choice other than their head. An additional 3d6 weapon damage is dealt by this attack, regardless of the result of the saving throw.
  • Whirlwind (costs 2 Points): In place of one attack made with your Attack action, you can spend 2 bloodlust points to try and cleave all creatures within a 10-foot cone. Targets in range must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 4d6 plus your Strength or Dexterity in weapon damage. On a success, targets take half as much damage. If at least 2 of all targeted creatures fail the saving throw, you regain 1 bloodlust point.
  • Thirst for Battle (costs 3 Points): Whenever you are suffering from the charmed or frightened condition, you may use your action and expend 3 Bloodlust points to immediately end the condition on yourself.
  • Execution (costs 3 Points): You may attempt to permanently end a target. When you make an attack, but before you roll the attack, you may spend 3 Bloodlust points to add additional damage to the attack. If your attack is successful, you roll an additional die of weapon damage to the attack. If your target has less than 50 hit points after this damage, they are instantly reduced to 0 hp. If the target has more than 50 hit points, you add another 3d6 weapon damage to the damage roll of your attack.
