A nightmarish hybrid of a horse and a human. The upper body of the creature resembles a monstrous human torso that grotesquely protrudes from the back of a horse. One of the most horrifying aspects of the Nuckelavee is its lack of skin. Its flesh is completely exposed, revealing pulsating muscles and veins. The sight of its raw, red, and bloody appearance is enough to instill fear in anyone who encounters it. The horse of the nuckelavee has onlyone eye and is worthy of competing with the Kelpie as the ugliest horse in Érennía . The eye of the horse is said to burn with an intense, fiery red glow, adding to its terrifying presence.

The creature’s arms are unnaturally long, and its hands are webbed, ending in clawed fingers, which it uses to grasp and tear at its victims. The human-like upper body of the Nuckelavee is similarly horrifying. Its head is large and misshapen, with an elongated mouth that perpetually gapes open.
