Similar to Japanese, Taxicōnic uses both Pictographs and an Alphabet as its script. Some words use the pictograms while others use the alphabet, which is known as Kāwaxikok (Kā: Mouth, Wax: Sound, Ikok: Script) Complex, contemporary, and longer words (especially foreign words) usually use Kāwaxikok, while shorter and compound words tend to use the Logographs.
