The Nameless One

Death, The Lord of the Hourglass, He of Book and Coin, The Ultimate Truth, The Great Thinker
Deity
Current Location
He is often found writing magic and law into the world or The Book of Time at his grand oak desk, which rests on the third floor of The Great Stone Tower to the south of the Troll Homelands. The tower itself is protected by mortal, magical and divine means so few disturb him here. He takes great delight in the purple sun (his creation), shining through the window and warming his skin as he writes. These protections include riptides which sink mortal ships below the surface, winds which blows only away from land, barriers which prevent teleportation and daemonic invasion; however it is known that his siblings and his parents can breach this with ease.

General Description
The Nameless One is the oldest of Jak'ra and Amaryllis’s children, and god of death, learning, the arcane, language, wisdom, cities, time, money, politics and the concept of eternity; as well as the patron god of the Trolls and protector of bankers, teachers and academics. He rules the season of Winter and represents the ideal of Destruction. For without destruction there can not be change and without change there can not be progress. Without progress, there can be no life.

During the events of A Short Month, the Nameless descended on the Mortal plane and fought Unknown with the aid of Bel Kuko. He now possesses the Subclass - Circle of the Stars, having ripped the Domain out of her soul.

Forms
The Nameless prefers the form of his first intelligent creation, the Trolls, but has been known to take on alternative forms if only to experience their life, or distract himself for a few hundred years. When in Troll form, the Nameless prefers long flowing robes suitable for a member of the Grand Order of Wizards, often adorned with a white gold necklace and attached carved mythril pendant, and a great white beard which stops just short of his waist. One other form he undertook for several millennia, includes that of a large blue ringed planet, which he used to explore the natural laws of space and gravity. It is not unknown for him to take the form of any of his creations and live among them. His true form is a shapeless mass of multicoloured energy of indeterminate size. Other forms undertaken on Oerth include a black cat, a bronze Dragonling and a brothel owner in The Grand City of Mor'Koc. Each form is usually taken to explore a concept, universal law or mortal emotion and has lead the Nameless to appreciate his worshippers and become the wise, level-headed God he now is.

Personality
The Nameless One is, in conversation, cordial and wise, but also often deliberately cryptic with a slightly condescending sense of humour. He also seems to be extremely forgiving and level-headed, never seeming to get angry even when directly insulted, and as shown in his conversations with Bel Kuko almost obstructively pragmatic and hyper-logical to the point of irreverent coldness.
He is known to be the most intelligent being in the Multiverse, being essentially a sentient compendium of nearly all knowledge and wisdom known to man or God, but is rarely forthcoming with such information. The Nameless has made it clear that he prefers a hands-off methodology compared to the other members of The Five, not directly involving himself with earthly events as he records the actions of those around him. However, he does also enjoy visiting the various planes and mingling with the locals in order to study them or even just distract himself from his eternal vigil. He views his worshippers as pieces on a chessboard, taking great pains use the smallest action to achieve his end goals.
