Origin Controversy
The origins of House de'Valice and their claim as a noble house of Tir are complex and greatly debated. The name itself is generally believed to be an Imperial corruption of the name Devliss, coming from Lugh Devliss, the first Baron of Treighte and founder of the extinct House Devliss. The current members of House de'Valice, while clearly having some Elven blood (being of generally slighter frame than the average Troll and having blonde hair), are largely Trollish, with the exception of Florean who is a half-Elf bastard.
