The Empire's leading presentative with the Grand Duchy of Tir and the Governor of Balla. The duke married Aisling de'Valice in order to secure a personal union with House Drakenfiend, but despite winning the affection of her daughter he has had limited success with the House's Matriarch Orla Drakenfiend.
He is notorious for his greed, his racism to races he considers "lower" to him (basically anything that isn't a Troll or High Elf), his blatant nepotism (electing to place his uncle Florean and younger brother Devlin into positions of power in the city) and his lechery, childishness and general unpleasantness. During the Balla Incursion and Nox's Invasion of Orth, he has also proven himself to be an incompetent glory-hound as a commander, with his wife being the brains of the operation, and the direct cause of Balla falling to the enemy due to being manipulated by Seaghd II mac Greimdorch.
