Aisling de'Valice (nee Drakenfiend) is the current Duchess of Balla, wife of Duke Erwen de'Valice and youngest daughter of Orla Drakenfiend. Paradoxically, she seems to have a strained relationship with her mother due to her husband's actions. Despite their marriage being originally political in nature and her constant frustration at her husband's incompetence and oft-immature behaviour, it's clear the two of them genuinely love each other. Though famed more for her beauty than her intelligence, she is far more capable and politically-minded than the Duke and appears to be the real power behind the title.
