Avariel, or Aril'Tel'Quessir in elven, were a subspecies of elves who were the first to leave The Feywild and migrate to The Prime Material Plane and to Toril. Avariel were winged and could fly but had hollow bones to make hem lighter, an amazing tradeoff that made them more delicate than other elves. Early in the history of Faerûn, the Avariel came into conflict with dragons who completely decimated the Avriel population, forcing them into extinction.
