This book was found by The Party in Wave Echo Cave as they searched for the Forge of Spells. It contains yearly records of mine output, pay disbursements, important information about the mine, and the mine charter.
The charter states that the mine was ancestral property of the Delzoun dwarves, passed down in stewardship to prominent Delzoun Dwarf houses, and the Rockseeker family were the current stewards for 700 years. As part of Phandelver’s Pact, the mine was leased to the Phandalin Council on a yearly basis for 1 GP per year from each of the signatories, and the Council controlled the operation and profits from the mine. The ledger contains a long list of dwarven names accompanying start and end dates, under the heading “Mine Warden.” The last name in the ledger reads “Thrayden ‘Deepdelver’ Rockseeker.”
