In what was once a garrison for the King's Army, and for a short time, an adventurer's guild, the large structure inside the Court of 1000 Stars now belongs to the Ivory Axe Company. This group of mercenaries is headed up by Garen Whiteaxe, a decorated former solder of King Hrotden's army, the Understrong. His current band of dwarves, humans, and half-orcs alike number 46.
Garen expects the utmost professionalism of his mercenaries, thus their ability to remain garrisoned inside the walls of the city. On occasion, they've taken up contracts to help with city security, but now seek more lucrative contracts. Rumor has it that there is a gem vault inside the place, but trying to rob it would be madness, since his men are some of the most well trained in the kingdom.
Anyone seeking to join his band should at least show proficiency with an axe. But as of late, Garen has been farming out commission contracts for smaller jobs, since the Lord High Commander's Army has pressed them into occasional service.
