Another family of minor nobility who found their way to power by presiding as long-serving sages to Herras’s court. They are a quiet house, mostly in attendance to record the events of court and chart history. Their influence has been the least of the noble houses, but they currently find themselves in a unique position.
Due to their association with most of the city clergy, their houses and chambers were not heavily concentrated on the Nobles Quarter, thus, they retained their property after the Vanishing. Their titled partners, the Lightstrung, were left in the cold and had to find shelter with the Orens. Both houses now work quietly, so as not to disturb the new balance, fearful that their original ties to the crown may make a target of them all. However, the Orens hold vast amounts of knowledge which works to their favor.
