Comprised of the territory between the Shallowrun and KingsGreen, bordered by the Kingsroad South, then following the Rangers Road to the Eldwyd, this shire is managed by a minor noble at Brakenthorp, Lady Layen Swanpeak (distant cousins of the Swansbreaths). She retains the services of a group of rangers known as “The Riders of the Rose”, loyal to ensure travelers in this district are safe. They also take it upon themselves to patrol the Rangers Road between Northlake and Plainfield.
Maiden’s Lake gives this district its name and has been a very quiet fishing spot for many years. As it’s not managed by royal decree, many travel here to fish its plentiful waters.
