The primary homeland of the Halflings of Edelrend, this territory is host to caravans of families who travel its borders. It contains the WheatSea and makes up the majority of the western coast of the kingdom, stretching from the Westhold down to the Southcut and east to the edges of the Ravensheath Forest. Recently there has been a slight conflict with halfling hunters breaching the borders of Crowhaven shire to hunt in the forest.
The administration of the district is put to a council of families (Bramblebriars, Pebbletreads, Proudburrows, Fiddlefoots, & Taptreads) who elect a representative “wagoneer” for two years. The current representative of the district is Wagoneer Puddlane Pebbletread, an aging halfing with immense influence. He works closely with the reeves of Cooper’s Rest and steward in Farview to ensure everyone is fairly represented.
It contains a couple of major trade routes, being the Wagontrail across the Wheatsea (a vast plain of wild grains, harvested by the halfling folk) and the road down from Clatterton simply called “The Trail” but formerly known as the Clatterton Trade Trail.
