An important territory, as it marks the southern edge of the kingdom and borders against Suthica. This shire has been pushed back to the town of Birchfell, who demanded autonomy and was granted it under the elven queen of Eldwyd. Not wanting to start a war with the elves, the kingdom assuaged in exchange for extra security along the Endhart River.
Oldwatch is a collection of scrubland and hills, containing the Rocklow Hills to the north and the Houndsteeth Ridge to the south and west.
The only authority here is the Magistrate of Oakwald, Dunnen Lightfair, a half-elven knight who retired from adventuring. In the scrublands, there are several nomadic families who make their own way and they are loosely aligned to him in times of need. However, that relationship remains tenuous as several of them also owe allegiance to the old Suthican lords.
