The Formless Moon

Symbolizing the moon, but reflecting the light of the stars, the Elves worship a goddess who manifests as moonbeams, fluid and everchanging.  She often presents herself as a silvery phoenix. Her priestesses (priests are rare) wear provocative clothing necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and torcs of pure silver – a sacrament to them, they eschew the handling of silver coins as they believe money changing to be disrespectful.

They see the enemy of the multiverse manifest in a being called Haagach, a wolf-like beast –the progenitor of lycanthropy – and they fight tirelessly to rid the world of lycanthropes. Their temples are often found near freshwater sources, where they reflect upon the face of their deity.

While this is primarily an elven religion (one of many) it's covered here because there have been a number of human worshippers in the recent past. This may be because of the propensity of human and elven couplings. Many half-elves cling to and call upon the favor of this deity; especially those that travel by the light of the moon.
