Between the Folksrun Ridge and the Little Teeth Hills are the lands of the Sessundi, or "Snake-people". One of the more intimidating clans of the Tenfolk, they live in tight colonies called "dens" and fiercely defend their territory. Their leader, Slides-like-sand, lives in a large burrow in the heart of Bowfang, the territory of flat scrublands forming a shallow valley.
The first thing you'll notice when entering the camp is the small wooden bridge across a muddy waterway which they call Slithering Waters. In the center is the chieftains large burrow surrounded by bones of their greatest conquests and a ring of skin tents, covering further underground chambers.
The most notable of the two largest tents is the training den of the TwoFangs, a ferocious monastic order who have made themselves immune to poison and practice the art of "puncture fist" (anyone practicing this art can cause piercing damage with their unarmed strike if they desire). Beyond that, is another tent with two large chambers known as the Fire Tent; one with a forge fire and the other with a massive cooking pit.
Other things to look for in the camp are the Basking Stone where the Chieftain meets visitors outside his camp, the shaman's rise, a tall tent covered in runes and symbols at the end of the bridge, and the particularly bitter root-vegetables in small gardens called "tovo" which is much like a long, carrotlike radish. It supplements their very steady diet of small animals.
