The Soul System, sometimes called the Sol or Sun system is the planetary system inhabited by most of the Human species. During the Golden Age before the End, Humanity's various nations and factions forged an empire that spanned much of the system and its neighbouring stars.
The system bears the marks and scars of a long lived space-faring civilization, and the systems very geography have changed greatly since the old records of the 2nd Millennium, Old Earth no longer exists as it was destroyed in humanity's first Intersolar conflict. The ancient Sun now often called Soul is have grown during the End Into a red giant who have swallowed the nearest planet. Earth is a asteroid field called the Grave where a cracked Luna still reside with its surviving infrastructure still in place. The successfully terraformed Mars now called Maerth is humanity's new home world.
