Maerthians or sometimes called Martians are native to Maerth or its colonies. They can trace their lineage from many different Human ethnicities and sub-species from across The Last Hand. Originating from the first colonizers from Earth, some of the traits, cultural practices and appearances of the old world still cling on even after the End. Maerthians claim to be the true successors of Earth people, something that is recognized by most people besides the people of Luna and the Grave, aswell as The Ringed Host .
