the Princess of Centauri

Overview

The Princess of Centauri is a prime example of a repurposed MTC-112 courier ship favored by smugglers, pirates, and Coreseekers alike. Its Maerthian registration gives it an air of legitimacy, though its numerous modifications make it a target for inspections in more regulated territories.

Despite its patched-together nature, the Princess is surprisingly reliable, thanks to the expertise of its crew and its robust military-grade systems. However, its reliance on retrofitted and scavenged components means it often operates on the edge of legality and functionality.

Description

The Princess originally is a MTC-112 Jovian pattern courier ship, it is the type of odd job kind of vessel one can see hundreds of within or between populated human systems. Its interior space, powerful engines and mediocre Skim-Drive allow it to haul freight, carry tools and crew to mine asteroids, salvage ships or survey most planetary surfaces. Or at times if cunningly equped with salvaged weaponry make do as a pirate vessel. It lack the speed and armor of traditional war ships, but entire fleets or squadrons of retrofitted vessels can deter or overwhelm most armed foes, or serve as shuttles and supply ships in larger formations.

Like many such crafts, the Princess of Centauri have been repaired, retrofitted and modified so extensively that it's orginal designation and pattern is visually unclear. The Princes is a mongrel of a vessel, unique but unremarkable. Only another variation of a common design seen throughout Human Space
