Yerra Wenslow is the daughter of two farmers that lives in the hamlet of Beckley, just south of the town of Reedenford. Yerra is a upbeat child with an overactive imagination, and enjoys playing by herself.
In Iron 989, Yerra's parents' farm was terrorized by the presence of a hellbeck in a nearby forest that had been eating the family's sheep. Yerra herself was unafraid of the beast, as she had made up nightmares far worse in her imagination. When her brother Orin Wenslow left the family cottage after dusk in an attempt to ward the creature off, Yerra witnessed him get eaten by the beast, though she believed them to be friends. Yerra described what she saw of the hellbeck to her parents, who believed it to either be a werewolf or a vampire, chalking the rest up to Yerra's imagination. Yerra again described the hellbeck to 3 guild members of the Clover Company, but they were unaware of any beast fitting that description. Yerra was later told to go inside when the guild returned with the corpse of the hellbeck.
