Great Old Tallon, referred to by some as the Watcher, is a large, winged beast, a still-living Host, and a seer that resides within the Dancing Peaks of the Kalhastian Empire. He is a wise if not somewhat fearful entity, and he commands a legion of awakened eagles to serve as his eyes as he observes the world in seclusion. Tallon is capable of acts of foresight, though his prophecies are generally vague and difficult to parse. He is a consummate gourmand.
Description
Appearance
Great Old Tallon's full body cannot be directly observed, as he has wedged himself into the back of a cave, obscuring much of his form and leaving only what appears to be his head and a bit of his neck sticking out. He is a giant, eagle-like creature with dirty brown plumage caked in layers of cave dust. Tallon has 4 sets of massive wings that fold uncomfortably around the hole that his neck pokes out of. He has a giant yellow beak and a large, piercing, glowing eye that sits in the center of his head. Two scaly and clawed hands extend out from the base of his neck by way of a set of long and thin arms.
Personality
Though Tallon is long lived and has great wisdom, he is fearful of the surface due to his experiences with the dragons of the past. As such, he is generally guarded with newcomers, and will choose to reveal little to them unless they prove themselves to him. A quick way to his heart, however, is to provide him with delicious food. He generally speaks in a cryptic and vague fashion, especially when conveying a prophecy.
Skills and Abilities
In addition to his abilities to direct his flock of eagles and see through their eyes, Tallon likely possesses great physical strength due to his sheer size. However, his greatest abilities lie in his power of prophecy, which he can use to see and help prevent great disaster.
