“The Harper creed has worn many faces: cloaked spies, masked nobles, quiet scribes. Hex is a different kind. He does not whisper the truth—he drives it through the heart of lies.”
The Librarian

Hex is a dragonborn paladin whose divine strength is matched only by his dedication to quiet vigilance. Assigned by the Harpers as both a protector and an embedded observer, he became an unexpected but loyal pillar of the Hype Squad, earning his place through steel, resolve, and quiet faith.

Hex first appeared during the raid on Manshoon's demiplanar hideout, joining Leosin Erlanthar and a strike force of Harper agents. When the Hype Squad’s chaotic methods threatened to unravel the Harper mission, Hex was given a new directive: stay close, keep them alive, and watch what they might uncover.

What began as obligation, however, turned into brotherhood. Hex remained with the Squad through the fallout of the Fireball Incident, the Vault of Golorr, and the unsteady peace that followed. Though he reports to the Harpers, his loyalty to his companions is no less sincere.

Closing Remarks

Hex is proof that a blade can be honest. He is not without doubts—only without excuses. In him the Harper code finds its spine, and the Hype Squad, whether they know it or not, finds its shield.

A Game Concluded

“They played the Grand Game to its end—
and discovered that the final move was never theirs alone.”

—The Librarian

The Hype Squad’s role in the Grand Game concluded in a night of masks, broken pacts, and unanswered questions. What transpired beneath Waterdeep reshaped the city’s balance of power, scattered its conspirators, and left scars that have yet to heal.

Much remains obscured—by design, by magic, and by those who survived.
