Liriel

Liriel is a drow rogue and noble-born member of Bromocorah Inc., a lawful good teenager whose optimistic outlook and dedication to doing good deeds set her apart from her disapproving family. At 5’4”, she has the slender, agile build of a typical drow, with deep obsidian skin that glimmers faintly under sunlight, a stark contrast to her bright, silver-white hair that she keeps in a high ponytail, adorned with small, colorful beads that clink softly as she moves. Her wide, amethyst eyes shine with youthful hope and determination, though they often narrow with focus when she’s on a mission. A small scar above her left eyebrow—earned during one of her early escapades—adds a touch of ruggedness to her otherwise delicate features.

Liriel’s attire blends her noble heritage with her rogue lifestyle, reflecting her dual nature. She wears a finely tailored, dark violet tunic with subtle silver embroidery, a nod to her family’s status, but it’s practical and reinforced for stealthy movement. Over this, she dons a lightweight, black leather vest, its pockets filled with lockpicks, small tools, and candies she hands out to children she meets. Her trousers are dark and form-fitting, tucked into soft boots that muffle her steps, and a flowing, emerald-green cloak—her favorite color—billows behind her, its inner lining embroidered with her family’s crest, though she’s sewn small, hopeful sun motifs over it as a quiet rebellion. A pair of daggers, their hilts wrapped in green leather, hang at her hips, and a small pendant shaped like a rising sun dangles from her neck, a symbol of her belief in a better world.

As a rogue, Liriel is nimble and resourceful, excelling at sneaking into places to help those in need—whether it’s stealing food for a starving village or unlocking a prisoner’s chains. Her lawful good alignment drives her to tirelessly advocate for hope and kindness, often going on impassioned rants about helping others and making the world a better place, much to the dismay of her traditional drow family, who see her ideals as a betrayal. She’s been known to shout, “Please MOM! This is not a phase! This is WHO I AM!” during heated arguments before storming off to continue her do-gooder adventures. Her youthful exuberance can be infectious, but it also leads to moments of naivety, as she sometimes underestimates the dangers of her actions in her zeal to do good.

Within Bromocorah Inc., Liriel is the group’s brightest light, her optimism balancing the darker pasts of her teammates. Kilionzell admires Liriel’s conviction but often has to temper her idealism with practical strategy, acting as a protective older sister figure. Demit, another drow, feels a mix of pride and exasperation at Liriel’s defiance of drow norms, often teasing her about her “sunshine attitude” while secretly ensuring she doesn’t get into too much trouble.Chrizz tries to exploit her naivety for scams, but Liriel’s moral compass usually turns his schemes into acts of charity instead. Oriwrick is awkward around Liriel’s boundless enthusiasm but appreciates her kindness, often tagging along to protect her during missions. Ianver shares quiet moments with her, discussing hope while Darling munches nearby, and Ilmryn, on his path of atonement, finds her hope inspiring, often confiding in her about his guilt, while Hordar engages her in philosophical debates about the nature of goodness, her optimism challenging his deeper questions.

Liriel’s role in the guild is as a scout and infiltrator, using her rogue skills to gather information or sneak into enemy strongholds, all while spreading her message of hope. Her relentless drive to help others often pulls the group into unexpected acts of charity, and though her idealism can frustrate her more pragmatic teammates, they can’t help but be inspired by her unwavering belief in a better world. Liriel’s journey with Bromocorah Inc. is one of growth, as she learns to balance her ideals with the harsh realities of the world, all while proving to her family—and herself—that her path is truly who she is.
