Dossier

Rimeus is a male elf ranger with the eldritch adept feat, a compassionate member of Bromocorah Inc. whose deep love for animals and nature shapes his role within the guild. Standing at 5’6”, Rimeus has the lithe, graceful build of an elf, with pale, moonlit skin that seems to glow faintly in the dark, a subtle trait of his eldritch connection. His deep violet eyes shimmer with a quiet intensity, reflecting his attunement to the natural world, and his long, auburn hair is tied back in a loose braid, interwoven with small leaves and feathers gifted by his animal friends. A faint, eldritch tattoo of swirling vines and eyes glows softly on his forearm, a mark of his pact that enhances his ability to commune with nature.

Rimeus’s attire is practical yet reflective of his bond with the natural world. He wears a forest-green tunic with intricate leaf patterns embroidered along the hem, paired with sturdy brown trousers that allow for easy movement through the wilds. A lightweight cloak of mottled greens and browns drapes over his shoulders, blending seamlessly with the forest, and his boots are soft leather, designed for silent steps. Around his neck, a small wooden pendant carved in the shape of a wolf hangs on a leather cord, a token from a wolf pack he once aided. He carries a small harp, its frame carved with animal motifs, which he plays to soothe beasts or inspire his guildmates, and a slender dagger with a bone handle rests at his hip for emergencies.

As a bard with the eldritch adept feat, Rimeus wields a unique blend of magic, combining bardic inspiration with eldritch powers that allow him to speak and understand animals, a gift he cherishes deeply. He can communicate with creatures of the wild, often pausing mid-journey to chat with a squirrel or calm a startled deer, his voice soft and melodic as he speaks their languages. His magic often manifests as nature-infused spells—vines that entangle foes, spectral animals that aid in battle, or haunting melodies that call forth the wind. His love for nature aligns him closely with Oriwrick, though he’s far less extreme, preferring to nurture rather than destroy, and he has a deep admiration for Hordar, seeing the goliath’s philosophical musings about nature as a kindred spirit’s perspective, often seeking him out to discuss the balance of the wilds.

Rimeus shares a sibling-like connection with Verin, the self-loving bard of the guild, their dynamic a mix of playful rivalry and protective camaraderie. While Verin’s theatrics and questionable cooking antics often lead to chaos—like accidentally poisoning a tavern with her “goblin bone stew”—Rimeus is always there to mitigate the damage, using his calming presence and animal allies to smooth things over. He’ll gently scold Verin for her recklessness, saying things like, “Verin, not everyone appreciates your… unique recipes,” while discreetly ensuring no one else eats her latest creation. Despite their bickering, their bond is unshakable, and Rimeus often uses his magic to enhance Verin’s performances, summoning spectral fireflies to light her stage or calling birds to sing along with her lute.

Hero Without a choice

To gain the strength to protect his people, Eryndor made a contract with Sylvanus, the great spirit guardian of nature. He offered himself as the Guardian of Nature. But for Sylvanus, that was not enough. Thus, the spirit set a condition:

"To be the Guardian of Nature... forever."

Eryndor hesitated, not fully grasping the meaning of "forever." Yet, for the sake of his people, he accepted the condition—willingly, or perhaps, without any other choice.

Throughout his life, Eryndor faithfully protected the forest and his people until death claimed him. But days after his passing, a wood elf visited his hidden grave in the heart of the forest. There, they found something extraordinary: a glowing green and gold cocoon, the size of a baby.

The cocoon was brought to the Forest Leader. When opened, it revealed a baby—fair-skinned, with golden hair and pointed ears. The child resembled a high elf, yet its aura felt foreign, almost divine.

The Forest Leader believed the baby was Eryndor’s reincarnation—a gift from Mother Nature. Named Rimeus, the child was raised as a wood elf, growing with a deep love for the forest and all life within it. Rimeus did not oppose hunting but despised greed that harmed nature’s balance.

From his past life, Rimeus remembered only Eryndor’s name, his form, and the contract binding him to Sylvanus. The rest were shadows recounted by the forest elders. Slowly, he began to understand the true meaning of "forever": an eternal cycle. When one Guardian falls, a new one is reborn—on and on, until the spirit guardian of nature itself ceases to be.

Guild Roles

Within Bromocorah Inc., Rimeus is a gentle, stabilizing force, his love for nature and animals bringing a sense of harmony to the group’s chaos. Kilionzel appreciates his calming influence, often relying on him to scout with his animal companions or mediate disputes, while Demit respects his eldritch abilities, occasionally discussing the intricacies of their respective magical pacts.

Rimeus’s role in the guild is as a mediator and nature’s advocate, using his bardic and eldritch powers to support his teammates, whether by inspiring them with song, summoning animal allies, or gathering information from the wildlife. He’s often the one keeping Verin’s antics in check, ensuring her chaotic energy doesn’t cause lasting harm, while also bringing a sense of wonder to the group with his ability to speak to animals. His admiration for Hordar strengthens their bond, the two often standing side by side to protect the natural world, Rimeus’s melodies blending with Hordar’s philosophical musings. Rimeus’s journey with Bromocorah Inc. is one of balance, as he nurtures both the guild and the wilds, proving that even a gentle soul can be a fierce protector
