Previous Episode: The Significant Treasure - S02 E06
Ragnar Meliamne was captured by mercenaries hired by Lord Edward Brown and knocked unconscious. He awoke in a cell, where he met Pedrus Black, the well-dressed younger brother of Jacob Black. Pedrus explained that he had been captured while following his brother to keep him safe. Ragnar managed to escape his cell, but encountered two guards, whom he burned with a spell. As he fled, a figure emerged from the flames and stabbed Ragnar with a strange sword, causing him to feel his life fading. Pedrus joined Ragnar, and they made their way through a field of burned bodies, where they were attacked by a black bear. During the fight, Ragnar fell unconscious.
Meanwhile, Matty 'Asmatheus' Forester, Algernon Travers, Calvin Pont, and Annora Amakiir followed the path they had seen the mercenaries take Ragnar. They discovered a large tree with a cross marking the burial of Diggy Holderhek's dog, Diesel, and a note that read "Thor was here." Continuing on, they arrived at a hamlet and found an open area in the woods with dozens of burned bodies and three poles, one of which was missing a body. Nearby, they encountered a beheaded black bear and a small house. Inside, they met Marcon Black, who informed them of a witch living in the region who offered protection.
Ragnar awoke in the witch's house, miraculously healed of his injuries. Exiting the house, he passed through a gate and found himself back at the site of the burned bodies. Continuing onward, he reunited with Matty and the others. However, the mercenaries returned, and a battle ensued. During the fight, Danté Galanodel appeared from the trees to aid them, but left quickly after the battle was won. Reunited and victorious, the group continued their journey westward.
