Previous Episode: Sands of Time - S01 E10
The new season, Voyage of the Cursed Dawn, opened three days after the adventurers freed themselves from the ties aboard their ship, with Captain John Cutter now their leader. The group sailed westward on the open sea, discovering a large island named Macaw. They docked at the larger port of Macaw Cove, where John Cutter tasked them with gathering essential supplies for their journey. Red Flint explored the local temple, finding it abandoned except for a homeless man named Collin and his parrot, also named Collin P.. Convincing them to join the crew, Flint also took a statue from the temple to bring aboard. Meanwhile, Juulia Troski and Butters P. Nutts visited a local bar, where Butters won a bottle of rum by arm-wrestling the barkeeper. Though Juulia refused a favor from the barkeeper that would have secured more rum, they left with their prize.
In front of the indoor marketplace, Emberglow performed an act to earn coin, distracting a guard while Davkas Grosko and Rasa Arziki stole the guard’s longsword and shield. Emberglow’s act led to an encounter with Doctor Eric Argyle, who treated him and agreed to join the crew as their doctor. The group continued gathering supplies, with Butters meeting an old acquaintance, Bob the nuts merchant, and Flint recruiting Marissa, a fire genasi, after defeating her father in combat. As they prepared to leave, a group of Western Kingdom soldiers entered the town, distributing wanted posters with the adventurers’ faces. Fleeing towards the harbor, they managed to get everyone aboard. In a clever ploy, Rasa convinced the group to pretend he was their hostage, allowing them to evade cannon fire from a Western Kingdom ship. They sailed away from Macaw Cove, making a swift escape as their journey continued.
