Previous Episode: The Significant Treasure - S02 E14
The final session of the season picked up in the throne room, with the players tying up the now-powerless Doler after Juul's attack using the platinum disk. Suddenly, the steward of Redhaven, Unknown, entered and introduced himself as a loyal servant to the throne, pleading for help to defend the city from the approaching siege. The players descended to the walls and met with General Derol, who explained that General Selena Victor had raised an army of 8,000 troops to lay siege to Redhaven and take control of the kingdom. The city was vastly outmatched, with only 3,200 defenders. As the siege began, the players were joined by a tiefling paladin named Prophet, who had been secretly tracking the group since Demoña, as well as Virgil. The siege commenced, and as the siege towers approached the walls, Juul used the platinum disk to destroy one of them, but it wasn’t enough. General Victor's forces bashed through the gates and stormed the city. During the battle, Algernon Travers was tragically killed by a ballista bolt.
In a desperate attempt to end the bloodshed, Ragnar sought to negotiate with General Victor. She agreed to meet alongside General Derol. During the negotiations, Victor explained her motives—she had been abandoned on Demoña with her legion and had lost faith in the throne. She aimed to take control and restore the kingdom. As the players were close to convincing her to stand down, Char-Iz appeared, transforming into a large dragon and summoning three more, including an ancient black dragon. The dragons ravaged the battlefield, killing both generals, Victor and Derol. In a moment of desperation, Juul used the platinum disk to teleport the group back in time, three years earlier, to their first encounter with Char-Iz in Myrandil. They saw their past selves heading toward Char-Iz's tower, realizing they needed the golden disk to complete the trio of powerful disks. On their way to the tower, they met a strange man casually holding the golden disk, who handed it over without resistance, hinting at his godlike nature.
The players returned to the present timeline, where the dragons were wreaking havoc. The dragons unleashed a devastating fire attack, killing most of the players, except for Juul and Matty. In a desperate move, Matty combined the three disks to harness the universe’s power, risking his life. As he did so, he learned that he was the son of Asmarcana, the god of magic, making him a half-god of magic. Using the combined power of the disks, Matty erased Char-Iz from the timeline, ending the villain’s threat once and for all. With Char-Iz gone, the world was restored to normal, and the players were brought back to life. The season concluded with the players victorious, having saved the kingdom and rewritten their destiny.
