The session began inside The Barnacle Barn tavern in Flint Outpost. The party was approached by Billy Bones, the right-hand man of Mr. Smith. He claimed the group could safely entrust him with the crate and the letter. Red Flint, suspicious, cast Zone of Truth. Billy passed the test and confirmed he was speaking honestly. He also revealed that Mr. Smith himself is difficult to track down, though his ship is currently docked in the harbor of the outpost. The party decided to spend the night. That evening, Jimbo Reefclaw was called into Billy’s private office. There, Billy offered him 10,000 gold pieces in exchange for betraying the party and delivering Abby (the Sands of Time). Jimbo agreed. The deal was sealed through a magical binding contract with Jif, the satyr who enforces such agreements. The party remains unaware of this betrayal. The group sought out Billy Bones again at his office. The door was opened by a strange woman who appeared to be a fiend, which unsettled them enough to leave and postpone further dealings. Instead, they split up to explore Flint Outpost’s markets and magical institutions.

Cain Vaelen, Rasa Arziki, and Jimbo went to the Mage Guild. They were assisted by an elf named Erevan, who provided important information:

• The New Lands route is extremely dangerous.
• It is filled with sea monsters.
• The Western Kingdom has established a major naval blockade.

Cain learned that his Sea King Gauntlet is connected to the Atlas, strengthening his importance in the larger quest. Rasa’s Trident was examined and revealed markings tied to a demigod, likely one of the sons of Agwé, God of Aquatic Life.

Meanwhile, Jimbo wandered and encountered a group of young dragonborn students who bullied him and stole from him. When he attempted to retrieve his property, he was falsely accused of inappropriate behavior. The situation escalated until Archmage Asderillion, the headmaster, intervened and dismissed the students, allowing Jimbo to recover his belongings. The group reconvened at Cuckoo Bananas tavern and enjoyed celebratory drinks.
