Praesidium Coalition (The Deep Guard)

The Praesidium are a modest faction operating in The Northeastern part of Lumen. They act as an independent subsidiary of the World Government Remnants. The faction is composed of a central headquarters on the Citadel of Markor, and several expeditionary squads that operate semi-autonomously.

Their Publicly stated purpose is to better understand the void or the "depths" beneath lumen and combat its expanding influence on Lumen. They routinely hunt the creatures of the deep that have surfaced within Lumen. Their true purpose is to explore and better understand the pathways between worlds that exist somewhere between the realm of reality and that of dreams, and one day learn the method for connecting them.

The faction consists of several ranks given to each member based on expertise and ability: you have the Frogman a standard Delver that accounts for much of the faction's manpower typically these are laborers, scholars, and scientists, etc. Beyond them exist the Kyeser a smaller more notable group of the organization typically taking on expeditions into the depths and through gateways that appear within lumen. Lastly the Aes or Bronze an elite group that operates almost entirely in the depths itself, for those who bear the title of Bronze seeing the surface of Lumen once more has become a beautiful dream to never pass.

Praesidium operates as an independent faction despite the funding they receive fromThe World Government Remnants, in exchange for funding they provide information and occasionally relics that they discover during their expeditions. The group rarely involves themselves in Lumens politics, only attending banquets when specifically requested by the WGR.

One odd part of this faction is their deliberate avoidance of Fallen Constellia, one might ask why a faction would invest so heavily into the exploration of other worlds rather than the wonders of our own. Only the few Aes may answer a question such as that, for the rest of us the reason remains a mystery.

Much of this faction is unknown to the general populous, they keep themselves hidden and they prefer it that way, the common folk knowing of what exists within their world and beyond it is something they wish to prevent.
