The Pelegonic Church of Odion, often called the Pelegonic Church, is the state religion of Pelegon and is the Pelegonic variation of the Odionic Faith. It is an imperial cult centered around the divinity and worship of Pelegon I, proclaiming him to be the national deity of the Empire and the chief angelic servant of Odion. Kro I, the first Archpriest of the Church, is also seen as a minor deity.  A frequent mantra repeated by adherents of the faith is "Odion and at His right hand, the Prophet, and at His left hand, the Teacher."

Structure

The Pelegonic Church has a hierarchical structure, consisting of priests who are trained by other priests. Priesthood is a profession which requires apprenticeship and being named to the office by another. Once becoming a priest, an initiate gives up all titles, family names, and other worldly attachments, taking a vow of chastity and service to the Gods. There are ten high priests, one for each of the kingdoms of the Empire (excluding the Imperial Domain, which is directly led by the Archpriest). The ten high priests elect an archpriest to serve as the head of the faith. Though the archpriest is usually chosen from one of the ten, they can technically choose any.
