Gerella Goodfellow was the founder of House Goodfellow and the first Lord of Son's Rest from the Goodfellow line. Gerella was among the first of Pelegon I's followers, and she quickly became one of his strongest supporters in war. She used her tactical genius and strength to help win several battles. Pelegon I rewarded her with lordship over the castle of Son's Rest, previously the holding of House Restwell, and named her as the first Grand Vizier of Pelegon. 

As well as Pelegon I's closest friend, it is speculated that Gerella was Pelegon's true love and soulmate, as the two were nearly always together and many observers noted that Gerella's children bore a strong resemblance to Pelegon I's children (this was explained away by Gerella's purple eyes and her husband's mother having been of House Pall, who are known for their red hair). 

In V 17, Gerella gave birth to her fourth child and first daughter, Geria. Though the child was born healthy, Gerella did not survive the labor. Upon her death, it was noted that Shahanshah Pelegon mourned nearly as much as her husband Borys.

Even today, House Goodfellow remains one of the most important houses in the Imperial Domain and one of the strongest allies of House Odios Pelegon.
