The Battle of Hanum was the largest battle of Malagazh's War.
Shahanshah Cordos I took command of a grand host and led them to combat against the Dark Lord Malagazh. During the battle, Cordos and Malagazh fought a long and hate-filled duel. Cordos managed to wound Malagazh, but was in turn severely wounded by the dark lord, who burned his face with his hand and inflicted a terrible curse which festered and rotted the Shahanshah until his death a year later.
Despite the severe wounding of the Shahanshah, the host was able to rout the force of demons and Gabbardeen, in what would be the first and only major victory in Malagazh's War, as he and his forces would leave Yekare within a month. The victory was hard-fought and bitter-won, with the Imperial and Elvish forces taking severe casualties.
