Lord Marlyn Arcanos was the Lord of the Lake and head of House Arcanos during Abba's War. A supporter of the usurper, he led the forces loyal to Arcanopolis at the Battle of the Rushwater. He was a purported sorcerer, and it was said that his subjects called him the Wizard of the Lake in hushed tones, for they believed that he had magical ways of spying on them anywhere and anytime. After the war, he was executed by Adrastus II and his son and heir, Arthor, was taken as a hostage of the Golden Falcon Throne until he came of age.
