Adrastus II Odios Pelegon, often called Adrastus the Beloved, was the 23rd Shahanshah.
He was the son of Shahanshah Sethon I, born a year before the coup which instated his aunt Abba I. He lived his early life as a hostage of his aunt until he was rescued in a daring raid on the Imperial Palace.
Adrastus II was crowned at the young age of fourteen, taking the Imperial Throne upon his aunt's overthrow in a coup. He originally ruled as a puppet of the Imperial Conclave, however he developed a sharp political acumen and reinstated imperial authority as he grew older, ending his reign with his power returned. The Shahanshah's reign is remembered as a time of peace and prosperity, and he gained a reputation as a fair and just ruler. He passed at the age of 70 after a short sickness.
