Adrastus II Pelegon, often called Adrastus the Beloved, was the 23rd Shahanshah.
He was the son of Shahanshah Sethon I, born a year before the coup which instated his aunt Abba I. He lived his early life as a hostage of his aunt until he was rescued in a daring raid on the Imperial Palace.
The Shahanshah's reign is remembered as a time of peace and prosperity, and he gained a reputation as a fair and just ruler. Of the "three Adrastuses," Adrastus II is often called "the Greater."
