Koren IV Khainohk was the King of Gem and Stone and head of House Khainohk during Abba's War. A loyal follower of Abba I, he supported her new regime and was named Grand Magistrate of Pelegon by the Usurper. After the collapse of Abba's regime, King Koren was executed by Adrastus II. His line was exiled from the Imperium and his sister's daughter, Kyrgelle Khainohk, was named Kyrgelle II.

House Khainohk was split during the war, with many of King Koren’s kin greatly angered by the murder of the children of Queen Orella II Orthed, who were fathered by Kevan Khainohk, the king's brother. Many members of House Khainohk defected to the side of Prince Adrastus, including Bergella Khainohk, King Koren’s sister, who died for Prince Adrastus. After the war, her daughter would be named Queen of Gem and Stone by Adrastus II after Koren’s execution.
