Robi was a Courtesan in Arcanopolis, the favorite prostitute of Shahanshah Pelegon III. After the death of Tauquea Pineblood, Pelegon III went mad with grief and began to act in increasingly erratic ways. His final, and some say most audacious act, was to marry Robi shortly before she gave birth to a child, whom he named Pelegon. Historians are divided on the specifics of their marriage. Some argue that it was an act of cunning manipulation on Robi's part, playing Pelegon for greater power for herself. Others argue that the marriage was as much a surprise to her as it was to the realm, an act of random madness by a mad monarch.

Pelegon III forced Robi to act as if she was his previous wife, Tauquea. He forced her to cease shaving her legs and wear horns in her hair to appear as much like a Satyr as possible, though it was not enough for him. Shortly after Pelegon was born, the Imperial Conclave, led by Princess Zottyah, assassinated Pelegon III, their son Pelegon, and Robi herself.
