Pelegon III Pelegon was the 11th Shahanshah. He took the throne after the death of his father, Pelegon II

Pelegon was married twice. His first wife was poisoned by the Beldonians shortly after he took the throne, a loss which shattered Pelegon III's mind. She had been pregnant with their child, and though he attempted to save the child after his wife's death by having it removed from her womb, it was dead as well. After his wife's death, the already debaucherous and gluttonous Pelegon fell into drink, whoring, and food. He contracted several venereal diseases and became a frequent patron of several brothels.

In V 190, he married his favorite mistress, Robi, shortly before she gave birth to their son, who he named Pelegon. Historians are divided on the specifics of their marriage. Some argue that it was an act of cunning manipulation on Robi's part, playing Pelegon for greater power for herself. Others argue that the marriage was as much a surprise to her as it was to the realm, an act of random madness by a mad monarch. He forced her to refer to herself as Tauquea and forced her to wear horns and abstain from shaving her legs to appear more like a Satyr, though it did not work. His madness took its toll on the court, as did his audacious marriage to a common Sex Worker. Shortly after the birth of his son, Pelegon was poisoned by his sister in a coup she and the Imperial Conclave orchestrated. She then succeeded him as Zottyah II. While Zottyah had given Pelegon III the relatively painless death of poison, she did not extend this mercy to his wife and son, who died by the sword.
