Magos Rochis was the youngest of Lady Tanytha Rochis' four children. An unassuming and bookish man, Magos possessed a strong political acumen and became one of the chief advisors to King Ariston II Adrastos. When King Ariston died and his son Ulysses I followed him shortly after, Magos became the Lord Regent for the young Adriana I. As the effective ruler of the Arcazon, Magos declared House Adrastos for Prince Vidorion Pelegon during Vidorion's War after the prince wed his elder sister Izabel Rochis. Shortly after his sister's wedding, the widowed Magos took Queen-dowager Adriana Athenion to bride. Some say that this was a mutually agreed upon match, the Queen demonstrating her support and esteem in the Lord Regent by offering him her hand. Others say that it was a forced marriage, with the cunning Lord Regent Magos taking her to bride to hold the beloved Queen-dowager as a hostage and to grant himself legitimacy as the new Queen Adriana I's father-in-law.
