His parents (both engineers) passed away in a car accident when he was 7. They were out of town on work when they had to suddenly drive back due to Milo injuring himself while playing in the woods where he wasn’t supposed to. Due to this Milo blames himself for their death. He moved cities to live with his grandfather, John Doppler.
Doesn’t interact with kids his own age much outside of his only friend Michael. Since his interests require a lot of help from older and smarter people he spends a good portion of his free time around people like the librarian, Henry, the science teacher Sinclair, and keeps a good relationship with the owner of the junkyard, Dorcas.
His dream is to become an Engineer working for NASA, he spends most of his time tinkering with any piece of junk he can get his hands on and as such spends a lot of time wandering the town looking for things that interest him, usually the junk yard, he also spends a lot of time in the library.
His current goal is to make something that will get him noticed and hopefully receive some type of scholarship to a good college. He keeps himself busy, always doing something, if he slows down for too long and is left with his thoughts, he’s instantly reminded of the hole in his chest where his parents used to be.
