The original structure is still there, although it is little used and shows obvious signs of abandonment. Its stone walls covered in moss and lichen, a testament to the relentless flow of time and corrosive effect of the marine climate. There have been many renovation projects throughout the years, but all have failed for one reason or another, ranging from bureaucratic hiccups to workplace accidents. However, in spite of all this, the keeper, Christopher, still keeps the lantern in perfect working order.
