10 - Meeting the Governor

With the Church of the Stellar Flame taking over Moon of Warren and the Rin System, House Malklaith has fled to the Holt System and settled at a Fortress on Planet Sonhandra

Meanwhile in the Iota System the battle between the 51st Legion verses the alliance between the Planet Indri revolutionaries, the Lost Legion, and the Cobalt Syndicate has ground down to a stalemate, both Dreadnaughts Ascension and the Scorpio are badly damaged after several clashes.

The Cobalt Syndicate is pushing for the it's alliance members to recognize the rule of the Church of the Stellar Flame to break the back of the 51st Legion and House Malklaith, and usher in a new era of anti-Way measures, which would include the execution of Way Users and dangerous Precursor artifacts.

With the only fully functional Dreadnaught the Way of Light keeping supremacy in the Rin System, the Church of the Stellar Flame is posed to take over the Procyon Sector.

The Firedrake Outcasts are faced with a difficult decision - do they treat with Governor Ritam al'Malklaith, or allow the Church of the Stellar Flame succeed in their Solar Jyhad?

A Tense Meeting

The Firedrake Outcasts sit down with Governor Ritam al'Malklaith, at his fortress on Planet Sonhandra, along the Twilight Band of the planet, where perpetual day meets perpetual night.

There they have to manage the Governor's interest, making increasingly deep compromises to get access to the Governor's resources to outfit the Firedrake in a battle against the Way of Light Dreadnaught, and also to secure the freedom of the Mem by removing the weapons platform orbiting their planet. Without ordinance aimed at their 9 remaining birthing shoals, the Mem would have a chance at liberation.

The Governor is convinced to remove these platforms, but in exchange the Mem Council of 12 are to be moved to the Fortress on Planet Sonhandra as wards, an insurance against Mem uprising.  The Firedrake Outcasts agree to these terms, and ferry over the Mem Council to the Governor's Fortress.

The Governor gives a Precursor device known as the Sphere for Frank "Franky" Heather to weaponize, much as he has weaponized the Aleph Keys. The Sphere is a Precursor battery that can potentially hold a great deal of power, if sufficiently charged.

The crew get to work, as the Firedrake needs to be armed and ready for the battle against the Way of Light.
