Aither was the brother of Pierre Pyrite, but completely different in personality. As they came of age, Aither turned inward, cold, and egoistic. He set out on his own adventurers when he became of age, and Pierre didn't hear from him for several years after that.
Joining up with the Icewalkers, Aither found a sense of belonging, and a sense of purpose where he did not have to live in the shadow of his exotic brother, which he had resented throughout his childhood.
Upon meeting Pierre again in the Cragmaw Heights, Aither came across as hard and aloof, though this barrier were eventually torn down just a little bit due to Sherro Dekhaans magical influence. Aither revealed that he had followed Ausevere Caerlinn as a way to gain favor on behalf of his druid circle, but that she had been lost during the rescue of Serani and Myllo Shapewater. Aither had then escorted the friends of the party to the icewalkers that dwelled in the mountains.
Aither also revealed that he had been shadowing Pierre during his initiation ritual, and that he thought it was beautiful. After a heart to heart, Pierre and Aither parted ways with a hug, and a promise of better days to come.
