Vulnaga, the Mother of Nagas, was decapitated long ago and brought low by treachery from her sister Janasini, but part of her head was sowed back onto her body by a group of her Naga children using a divine needle. She grants boons only to mortal champions who seek to topple the treacherous and to restore those who have a rightful rule. Even if the rule could be legitimate, as long as a devout worshipper believes hard enough someone's rule to be illegitimate, Ravithra has been known to give them her blessing.
It is believed that on the day Janasini decapitated Ravithra near the Vochalam's, the venomous blood spilled onto some of Janasini's Garuda children, creating the first wyverns.
